"What happened, hon? Was it really a monster?"

Tartelette runs a bakery with her sister Baguette just outside Caketown Castle. She usually makes the pastries and cakes, but since the sugar shortage, that side of the bakery has been kind of empty.

Appearance

Tartelette has light skin, wavy pink hair, and dark pink eyes. She has a slim build and is a head taller than Cucumber.

Tartelette wears a dark pink dress with a white frilly apron over it, fastened with a light pink bow. Tartelette's apron has a heart shaped design on the front. Her hair is in a ponytail, partially covered by a simple white bonnet fastened with red currant barettes. She wears white and pink striped stockings, and pink shoes.

Personality

Tartelette is sweet and kind, always believing in the best of people. Unlike her sister, she is able to stay calm and level-headed when something makes her mad. However, she gets scared quite easily, especially when magic or monsters are involved.

Story

Tartelette, (similar to Baguette and Grizzlygum) only appears in the Prologue and briefly in Chapter 0. She's seen again in the bonuses of book 1 and book 3, having a rivalry with the owners of the B&B Bakery, Bruschetta and Biscotti.

Prologue

She's first seen after Cucumber bumps into her and Baguette's cake, and while also upset about it, she's much more calm, and is fond of Cucumber being willing to make a new one for them. She invites him and Almond into the Bakerette, which Cucumber notes is a little empty. She explains that Peridot had made her and Baguette bake a cake for her, using the last of their sugar. Almond asks why they can't get more, and her and Baguette explain they get their sugar from Rock Candy Caves, which is inside the Gumdrop Forest. Cucumber says he'll get sugar for them, since he was planning to go there anyway.

They visit the Gumdrop Forest, where she and Baguette tagged along to make sure they were safe. Baguette explains that the last knight they sent out never returned. Not long after, they find him in a tree, and he falls out, revealing his name is Sir Carrot. Tartelette asks if he encountered a monster. Carrot explains, and she asks if the "monster" is still out in the woods. Almost immediately, it appears, and Tartelette is initially scared. Cucumber tells everyone the bear's name is Grizzlygum, and is revealed to be very nice. Grizzlygum takes the group to the Rock Candy Caves, and Baguette and Tartelette seem amazed by it.

Chapter 0

Her and Baguette, now with Grizzlygum along with them, thank the heroes. Tartelette also thanks Grizzlygum, and all three of them leave.
