Influences[]

Gigi D.G. has stated that they mostly like "cute things, colorful things, and elegant things". Their work is inspired by the Paper Mario and Kirby series, illustrators like Tadahiro Uesugi and Erté, and the paper sculptures of Brittney Lee. [1]

Other Work[]

In college, Gigi made comics which parodied video games under the name "hiimdaisy". [2]

Gigi worked with fellow webcomic creator Andrew Hussie on the dating sim Namco High, released in 2013, in which they were the primary artist for the character Mr Driller.[3]

In 2016, Gigi created art for both the game Shantae: Half-Genie Hero[4] and the show Bee and Puppycat.

They released two short webcomics on itch.io in 2017: Lady of the Shard, a comic about an acolyte in love with the goddess she serves; and The Idle Divination, a story focused on the Diviner, who has the power to see the past, the future, and the secrets of the heart.[5]

Gigi contributed promotional, merchandise, and concept art for the video games Undertale and Deltarune, particularly Deltarune, both created by Toby Fox. Undertale was released in 2013. Deltarune Chapter 1 was released in 2018 and Chapter 2 in 2021, while the remaining chapters are still in development.[6]

They were the writer for Legend of the Fire Princess, a graphic novel published in 2020 and based on She-Ra, Princesses of Power.[7]

In 2023, Gigi released the first chapter of the game Souls of Sovereignty, a visual novel about two unlikely companions who seek out the power to recreate their dying world in the all-pervading shadow of the capitalist church state.[8]
